Data Protection
On 25th May 2018 the new Data Protection Law (GDPR) came into force. Guildford City Sea Angling Club (GCSAC) is now legally obliged to follow certain rules relating to personal data that it stores or uses whether in hard copy or in a computer, memory stick or disc.

The club only holds contact details for members (9names, telephone numbers, email addresses, and SOME home addresses) which have been supplied by the members themselves. These details are held so that they can be contacted them with information about SGVA and local activities.

The personal data will only be kept for the purposes set out above and not used for any other purposes.

The personal data is confidential and will be stored safely and securely:

Any computer or other device holding any of the personal data will be protected by a secure pass code. Paper copies of data will be securely stored. The personal data will not be shown or given to any third party without the members permission and will not be kept for longer than is necessary. Members contact details will be deleted after they leave Guildford City Sea Angling Club for any reason but just the ex-members name may remain on our record list and/or reports (unless the ex-member requests deletion). Members and ex-members have the right to know what information is held and why. They can obtain this information by contacting GCSAC by email (chairman@gcsac.org.uk) or by writing to in writing (GCSAC, C/o Meads, Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Guildford, Surrey).

By paying their subscriptions members agree to GCSAC holding their contact details in order to give them information about GCSAC and local activities.

If at any time members wish to have their details removed they should contact GCSAC by email (admin@gcsac.org.uk chair@gcsac.org.uk) or in writing (GCSAC, C/o Meads, Lords Hill Common, Shamley Green, Guildford, Surrey).
